Developed from a high-tech material that is used in human medicine for decubitus prophylaxis in bedridden patients, the orthopedic dog bed has excellent characteristics that are important for the care of older, sick or sensitive dogs. Due to the net structure of the mattress there is no full contact of the dog’s body with the surface, the weight is evenly distributed and the pressure load on the dog's body is minimized. The particularly strong material is both super light and thin, absorbs neither dirt nor moisture and is therefore very hygienic.
The cover fabric of the dog mattress consists of a breathable and diffusion-open microfiber. This quickly absorbs moisture from the dog’s fur, also in case of incontinence, and dries very quickly. The dense, high pile is pleasantly soft and fluffy.
All these characteristics make the orthopedic dog bed ideal for incontinence in dogs. An insertable 100% waterproof incontinence pad for incontinent dogs is also available. It consists of a very light PU membrane, which is inserted between mattress and cover.
The fabric cover has a practical zipper, can be easily removed, is machine washable at 60 °C (hot cycle) and suitable for tumble drying.The orthopedic mattress itself can easily be washed out in the bathtub.
The orthopedic dog bed can be used on both sides and is very durable.
